We offer concept design, grading, stormwater, utilities, and just about everything else you need for a site development, except the building itself.  Where our team cannot provide you with the specific expertise you need, we have a long list of contacts we are happy to team with.  We are also here to help you navigate the permitting process and assist you with construction inspection until the last inspector heads back to the office.

Attention all commercial property managers, landscape contractors and HOA presidents:  You may not be aware that your Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) is required to be inspected on an annual basis by a qualified professional.  Fortunately, PCD has both Professional Engineers and NCSU Certified Inspectors on staff to assist you with your annual compliance and to make sure your SCM’s are performing the way they were designed so your minor annual maintenance expenses do not turn into major overhauls.

There are some incredible architects who are true masters of designing your dream home.  They perfected the flow, thought through the evening light, and got every detail perfect. The only problem is they aren’t always the best at grading or site layout.  The truth is properties are getting more scarce and difficult to build on, so we want to team up with your architect to get you the best possible design in all three dimensions.  Unlike most firms, no project is too small for us; we just love working with passionate individuals.

You selected the site, worked through the concepts, and picked your engineer to complete the design of the project.  You are several months into the process and laid out thousands of dollars to a team of consultants, but you just cannot break the intuition that something can still be optimized.  Whether you hired the best team money can buy, or got a great deal on the design fee, it never hurts to put another set of eyes on a project.  Our team is experienced in engineering review and quality control.  We enjoy the problem solving that comes with creative design and can be brought in to provide that outside perspective your project may benefit from.

While we understand the benefits of the Charlotte UDO and the attempt to protect the public from the excessive burden of stormwater runoff, we believe it is unfair to expand regulations to the individual property owners.  If you are lost navigating the permit process, or you are required to hire a professional, we want to help you with your project.  We recognize the limited availability of quality engineers and identified the industry markup that results.  As a small business ourselves, we understand the real impact this rule can have on your project, and we aim to provide relief.
