Who is PCD?
Peninsula Civil Design was created by Belmont, NC resident and Professional Engineer, Nicholas Vesely, PE to pursue a passion as a residential infill developer. After realizing the civil design firms in Charlotte were too busy helping publicly traded companies, he needed to form his own firm to do the design work himself. As the saying goes, the necessity bred innovation.
Our Story
PCD evolved into a full-time effort with the idea that the small business owners, who live in the communities where they create developments, deserve the highest level of expertise to bring their visions to life, in the most efficient and creative manner possible. While we are happy to work with developers of all sizes, we offer opportunities for the underserved to achieve their goals all the same.

We hold a license as a Professional Engineering Firm in the State of North Carolina (P-2816) and can obtain licensure in the States of South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia.
Behind the Design
Nicholas (Nic) Vesely, PE
Nic Vesely is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia with 10+ years of experience in construction inspection and civil design working in both public and private sectors. While he can showcase experience in a wide range of project types including commercial and industrial, his passion is in residential design, ranging from individual lots to 500+ lot subdivisions. The autonomy to offer his skillset in creative problem solving led him to start his own civil design firm.
